Your Road Map to Homeownership

1. Prequalification

Begin your home loan journey by filling out our online prequalification form. A Loan Officer will receive and review your submission within 24 hours, after which they’ll contact you to go over approval or denial, as well as referral to The Ascent Club—our value-added program designed to help set you on the best path to homeownership. If approved, your Loan Officer will also send a prequalification notice to your homebuilder with the loan amount you qualify for.

2. Loan Application

Once you select a home and sign a purchase contract, your Loan Officer will work with you to complete your loan application and gather financial documents within 7 days.

3. Preliminary Loan Approval

Once an underwriter has reviewed and conditionally approved your loan, your Loan Officer will call you with the good news and walk you through next steps.

4. Update Documents

Prior to final loan approval, your Loan Officer will continue to work with you to update your financial information, ensuring that you maintain the ability to qualify for a loan throughout the homebuilding process.

5. Final Loan Approval

Approximately 30 days and no later than 15 days from closing, you and your Loan Officer will lock in the interest rate for your loan. Your Loan Officer will also walk you through all other details of your loan and will confirm that your home’s appraisal order has been initiated.

6. Signing & Closing

On closing day, loan documents will be sent to the closing agent for you to sign and finalize the financing process. Then it’s time to celebrate because you’re officially the owner of a new home!
